riga, latvia (two nights in a campsite- luxury)

you can probably tell that a less literate person wrote the last post.

that person was daddy.

there are divisions in the camp. tempers are fraying after just 1 1/2 weeks travelling. this does not bode well.

the last field we stayed in was lovely and had lots of wildlife. lewis got in trouble for mistreating the frogs, nevertheless is obsession continued.

i do have a bad back from sleeping on the ground but last night was not my first on the ground. there has not been a single night when my air bed has remained inflated for more that 2 hours. i would say that i have held out better than the others would without an airbed.

riga has been the best city we have explored so far and it has not felt as though we have been away for a particularly long time as the countryside has been similar, in many areas, to that of the uk.

in many cases, 55mph does not allow us to keep up with the trucks as they seem to love a bit of reckless driving in eastern europe. the car has so far been holding up well but an ominous rattling may be heard from the back of the car all too frequently. we have be promised it's merely the exhaust.

one the padlocks for the trailer has been lost so we are on the look out for a new one.

the weather has been nice and wet; this makes a change from the stifling heat we we experiencing before.

Dear Lewis and family,
This is Mrs de Jager. We had our last day yesterday and it was sooooooooooooooooooo wonderful to receive the very special memories and messages book from the class. I could not help but to cry. It is very special and I will treasure it forever. It is great to read your blog every once in a while,it seems you are doing well and enjoying your trip although sleeping arrangements sounds less fun. Well we miss you so much Lewis and hope you are doing well.
Take care Mrs de Jager

Hello!!!

Had a look at your blog for the first time this morning and was very impressed with all the camping related adventures you are having. Top tip: keep Loong writing the entries. She is much more amusing than you, Daddy.

Life is much more dull here. Ling and I have not managed to get into a fight yet, which is good. We went for dinner and to see Mamma Mia last night. Living with the boys is really good fun - everyone is getting on very well.

Now for the exciting part...

I MET BRYN LAST NIGHT!!!! He is very nice though, disappointingly, does not look very much like that photo of him on OC&C's company website that Ling showed us!

Will keep you updated.

Lots of love,
Kay xxx
